There is a solder mark in the center of the coin. In 1878, 32 silver and copper coins from the years 1874–1878 were hidden in the foundations of the Hamina Cadet School’s ballroom building. When the building was demolished in 1954, the coins were recovered and given to the officers’ club of the Hamina Garrison Officers’ School. They later ended up on the collector’s market in the 1990s. Tuukka Talvio has written about the subject in his article in the magazine Numismaattinen aikakauslehti (2/1991).
