Chris Lebeau was a prominent early 20th-century Dutch artist known for his diverse work in painting, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, book arts, and theater design. A committed communist and anti-militarist, he was imprisoned by the Nazis after their invasion of the Netherlands and died in Dachau concentration camp.
